What we do

BlueLight Commercial is designed to support the transformation of policing and engender cultural change. It will raise the commercial capability of blue light services whilst building the capacity and credibility of the commercial profession.

BlueLight Commercial will:

BlueLight Commercial will ensure a trusted strategic commercial advisor works with each of the regions providing:

  • Credible advice and best practice on all aspects of the commercial lifecycle from determining requirements and managing the marketplace through to managing strategic suppliers and settling disputes
  • Assurance that forces are receiving the best possible value, including reducing costs, maximising quality and ensuring added value including innovations, social value and driving robust approaches to contract management.
  • The ability to influence the market, through bringing requirements together, maximising negotiating power and mitigating risks of market failure
  • Support with major commercial decisions or with historic supplier issues
  • Optimisation of consultancy spend
