Level 3 is ideal if you are in your first procurement role or are in a non-procurement operational role and might benefit from some procurement knowledge.
This qualification will prepare intermediate level learners looking to specialise in procurement and supply and provides progression to the CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply. It will help you to become a more confident problem solver and gain a clear understanding about how procurement and supply fits in with the rest of your organisation.
Modules & Credits
To achieve the CIPS Level 3 award you will need 30 credits, made up of the four core modules counting for 24 required credits (six credits each) and one elective module which makes up the six remaining credits.
Learning Structure
Every module includes:
- Three online 'live' tutor-led courses covering each learning outcome.
- Each learning session lasts 3 hours, giving a total of nine hours of tutor led learning per module
- A three hour revision session per module
- Learning contextualised to the public sector
- Online tutor support
- Copies of all learning materials & module course book
- Access to additional revision resources
CIPS Exams
Exams are run by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and are available to sit five times a year (March, May, July, September and November). Level 3 assessment is all via multiple choice exams which can be sat remotely.
