Following the successful completion of the Level 5 Advanced Diploma, this qualification represents the final level of CIPS qualifications for those working towards MCIPS Chartered Procurement and Supply Professional. 

The course builds on the knowledge and skills acquired in Level 5 training and aims to equip professionals with the necessary understanding to align functional, organisational and supply chain strategies, implement change management, improve leadership skills, manage stakeholders, develop procurement teams and relationship management, and excel in project and financial management. It is designed to develop transferable workplace skills and demonstrate strategic knowledge and leadership skills and find solutions to complex problems. 

This Ofqual regulated qualification is equivalent to a Bachelors (honours) degree. 

 

Modules & Credits

To achieve the CIPS Level 6 award you will need 60 credits made up of the following modules.

Learning Structure

Each module is made up of a number of credits. For each credit you should plan to dedicate 10 hours of study time. 

Every 12 credit module includes:  

  • Five online 'live' tutor-led courses covering each learning outcome.
  • Each learning outcome lasts 3 hours, giving a total of fifteen hours of tutor led learning per module
  • A three hour revision session per module
  • Learning contextualised to the public sector
  • Online tutor support 
  • Copies of all learning materials & module course book
  • Access to additional revision resources

Every 6 credit module includes:  

  • Three online 'live' tutor-led courses covering each learning outcome.
  • Each learning outcome lasts 3 hours, giving a total of nine hours of tutor led learning per module
  • A three hour revision session per module
  • Learning contextualised to the public sector
  • Online tutor support

Whilst every learner is different and learns at a different pace, in addition to the tutor led courses each learner will need to undertake significant additional self-study in order to prepare themselves for exams.

CIPS Exams

Exams are run by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS). All Level 6 modules will be assessed by computer based exams using Constructive Responses (essay style) and Objective Responses (multiple choice) which can be sat remotely.
