Supporting forces with forensic services required for the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (PACE), for the provision of subject sampling for DNA profiling and, where appropriate, searching against the National DNA Database (NDNAD), Vulnerable Persons DNA Database (VPDD), Missing Persons DNA Database (MPDD) and Contamination Elimination Database (CED).

 

Scope of contract

This framework offers a single supplier award and national price list for the assembly and production of three PACE, Elimination and CED DNA sampling kits.

The supplier will ensure the PACE DNA sampling kits comply with ISO 18385 and follow PAS 377:2023 standards as required and, where appropriate, follow the Forensic Science Regulators 2021 Act and resulting Forensic Science Regulators code of practice.

Kit manufacture and assembly follows the general standards for kit components for PACE.
