Framework Awarded for Digital Forensic Software and Tools

BlueLight Commercial has awarded a Digital Forensic Software and Tools Framework, providing UK policing and the wider public sector with a compliant and efficient route to procure digital forensic software, hardware, tools and associated services along with training and support.

Developed following extensive engagement with policing and industry, the framework has been specifically designed to align with the Forensic Science Regulator's Code of Practice, helping forces meet increasing regulatory and quality assurance requirements while maintaining operational effectiveness.

The framework has been established to ensure that the software and tools available support forces in achieving compliance, maintaining quality standards and safeguarding the integrity of digital forensic processes. Forces have access to a streamlined route to market, reducing procurement complexity through standardised terms and conditions, transparent pricing and access to a broad range of specialist suppliers.

Twelve suppliers have been awarded places on the framework, which will run for up to eight years. With awarded suppliers already representing approximately 61% of identified annual market spend, there is substantial potential to leverage aggregated demand, strengthen commercial influence and secure better value for the public purse.

The Open Framework model allows future supplier onboarding opportunities, helping ensure ongoing relevance as technology and regulatory requirements evolve.
