National Framework Awarded for Police Uniform Trousers

In collaboration with multiple forces, including commercial and operational and wider stakeholders, BlueLight Commercial has awarded this bespoke framework available to all named framework participants.

The framework provides a national platform to deliver Police Uniform Trousers for all frontline police officers and police staff roles, amongst others.

The BlueLight Commercial team restructured the standard procurement process to allow operational officers to take part in a full wearer trial assessment of the trousers, conducted over two stages, over two years, allowing bidders to improve the design and develop the initial submission.

This ensured comfort and fit were at the forefront of the process, and officer feedback was incorporated into the second design stage.

12 forces engaged in the wearer trial, all providing a 50:50 Male/Female split. Additional elements were included in the specification to ensure all potential unique characteristics including religious requirements, material preferences, gender specific and lifestyle considerations were fully addressed.
