Rigid Inflatable Boats Contract Awarded

BlueLight Commercial are delighted to announce that after an extensive and comprehensive evaluation and competitive tender process, the framework contract for the supply of Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs) to blue light operators has been awarded to Delta Power Group.

Based in Stockport, Greater Manchester, Delta Power Group, are the world leading supplier of Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs) and vessels.

The contract awarded under the Framework agreement, which has been let by BlueLight Commercial, covers the provision of highly capable, state-of-the-art high-speed patrol, intercept, and boarding vessels for use by Police and Blue Light Operators throughout the United Kingdom and includes vessels now being manufactured for two UK Police Forces. The craft can be powered by both outboard engines or inboard engines with various drive types to suit operator needs, in these cases powerful inboard diesel propulsion engines driving twin sterndrives with a specific focus on running costs, reduced environmental impact and copious running hours for operators undertaking high-profile tactical team patrolling and interception duties in their respective areas of operation, increasing asset effectiveness and readiness.

This contract bolsters Delta Power Group’s existing projects in support of Blue Light operators, rescue providers and commercial operators across the UK and Europe and is a further expansion of Delta Power Groups vessel range and capability within the UK and Global maritime environment.
