We are aware that smaller, medium-sized or micro organisations (SMEs) can often find it difficult to develop the skills and confidence to engage in public sector procurement activity. This is why we have partnered with Go4Growth, themselves a small business, to provide the tools and resources to help smaller organisations develop the skills to grow and win public sector contracts.
Go4Growth connects SMEs and VCSEs with the public sector, helping local providers build confidence, capacity and sustainable growth.
The fully funded programme is free to use and designed to make public procurement accessible for everyone.
Since launch, areas Go4Growth support have seen a 70% increase in SME engagement with competitions and a 30% rise in awarded work to smaller organisations.
The Go4Growth team is made up of procurement leaders, bid writers and sustainability experts, entrepreneurs and, most of all, people who are passionate small business owners and recognise the challenges businesses face when working with the public sector.
Their experience means that they know how daunting breaking into the public sector can seem – trying to find work, win work and keep it can be exhausting and often demoralising if you haven’t got the tools in place.
