Supporting blue light services with ICT commercial activity

 

Responsibility for the procurement of IT for national policing transitioned from the Police Digital Service (PDS) to BlueLight Commercial in April 2024.

Moving forward, BlueLight Commercial has the responsibility for the commercial, procurement and contract management activity of IT for national policing, encompassing the novation and re-procurement of existing commercial agreements that PDS had with suppliers. PDS will continue to focus on coordinating, developing, delivering and managing digital services and solutions and continue to have overall responsibility for any supplier contract that directly supports the delivery of its core business and purpose. 

Both PDS and BLC continue to work closely together to enable UK policing to safely harness technology to improve public safety.

We provide our customers with compliant frameworks which have undergone due diligence and continue to be contract managed centrally for the forces, providing one voice to the market on behalf of policing.
